The items listed here are meant to make sure you’ll be comfortable. If you only bring what’s in here, you’ll be missing out on The Magic, but camp will be a place you’ll be happy to live in.

You do not need to pack everything listed here. Pick and choose depending on preference and circumstances.

Tips and Tricks

  1. Check the weather report and pack accordingly. I shouldn’t have to say that.
  2. Check how far you’ll need to carry your stuff. It could be kilometres, so pack light and take a wagon/trolley if it is.
  3. Research the venue. How much shade is there? Are the campsites grass? Is there somewhere to swim?
  4. Know what you like. Comfort is a very personal thing, and most people have a few creature-comforts that they’re miserable without. Think about what that is for you and make the effort to pack what you need to to make it happen.
  5. Pack light where you can. Once you’ve packed your personal comforts, see how frugal you can be with everything else.

Hopefully you read this list and think “Um… duh”. But at the same time I arrived at the airport once without my passport, so… 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you had money to burn, you could conceivably just take what’s here and you’ll survive.
